About us
The Science Education Institute of the Southwest (SEIS) is a science education collaborative with board members from Sandia National Laboratories, University of New Mexico, New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science, Albuquerque BioPark, National Radio Astronomy Observatory and individual K-12 teachers and administrators. Founded in 2003 SEIS has provided workshops, classes and fellowships for over 500 pre- and in-service teachers from across New Mexico. All board members are volunteers. Funding for activities has been generously provided through monetary and in-kind grants and donations from the following agencies:
